How Young is Too Young for Serious Travel Hockey Article

Zack_SAHOF1

I just came across a great article  on  “How Young is Too Young for Serious Travel Hockey”  If you have a few minutes and you are a parent of a youth hockey player you should take the time to read it.  Also leave a comment and tell us what you think.  I have been a hockey parent for the last 5 seasons and my outlook on where my son was going to where he could go have changed.  I really think that if he can push himself on the ice and more importantly in the class room, he just might be able to get himself into a good college someday.

Here is the link to the article and please let me know what you think on the topic in a comment.

Two Florida Eels on their way to the USHL

Zachary Carriveau and Mario Puskarich are Drafted in the USHL Draft

Cedar Rapids Rough Riders drafts Zachary Carriveau and the Green Bay Gamblers draft Mario Puskarich in the Number one JR league in the Country

The USHL is the Premier Junior Hockey League in the USA. It is the exclusive Tier I team in the USA. The USHL is on par with the Canadian QMJHL, the OHL and WHL. The major difference of the American program and the Canadian system is our American players maintain their college eligibility when they play in the USHL.

We are so excited for our Eel alumni Zack and Mario. Both of t hese e players will attend the main camp of these two teams in the Fall.

Zack Carriveau is the son of Coach Scott Carriveau who has returned this year to the Eels as the coach of the Eels Peewee team and assistant to the Junior teams.

Zack has been heavily recruited by numerous Division 1 colleges up North. Both Zack and Mario are attended Edison Academic Center and its predecessor Stephen Husmann Prep Academy while with the Eels. The 5-day a week 2 hours a day of ice training and one hour of fitness center training has immensely contributed to these players enormous success.
